Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team in a fast-paced corrugated manufacturing environment. This role supports the maintenance, repair, and continuous operation of production equipment. We are open to candidates ranging from entry-level (with strong mechanical aptitude) to those with hands-on industrial maintenance experience.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance on converting equipment and support machinery
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production interruptions
- Inspect equipment for safety, functionality, and efficiency
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Work closely with production teams to ensure optimal machine performance
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Must be able to understand and communicate in English as needed to follow safety instructions, complete work orders, and coordinate with team members
Qualifications
Entry-Level Candidates:
- Basic mechanical aptitude or technical training (vocational school, certification, or equivalent)
- Willingness to learn industrial maintenance skills
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools
- Strong work ethic and reliability
Preferred for More Experienced Candidates:
- 2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing (corrugated or packaging industry a plus)
- Experience with troubleshooting electrical systems (motors, sensors, PLCs a plus)
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
