Director of Tax (CPA)

Our client, a growing full-service tax law firm, is hiring a Director of Tax (CPA) to lead individual & business tax preparation, drive tax strategy, and support ongoing firm growth.
This role is ideal for a CPA experienced in 1040/1120/1120S/1065 preparation who wants a strategic seat at the table in a high-trust, client-focused environment.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare & review HNWI & small business returns
- Lead tax planning, projections, and compliance
- Support audit defense & advisory projects
- Improve processes and paperless workflows
- Provide guidance to junior tax staff
What We’re Looking For
- Active CPA (required)
- 3–5 years of tax prep (HNWI business)
- Strong knowledge of federal/state tax regs
- ProConnect experience a plus
- Strong communication & client-service focus
Compensation & Schedule
- $120,000 base quarterly bonuses
- Full-time, year-round role
- Hybrid schedule (Rockwall office required)
