Quality Inspector - 2nd Shift

Trend Technologies, a worldwide corporation specializing in the manufacture of sheet metal products and complex assemblies for many of the world’s leading high-tech companies has an immediate full-time opportunity for a Quality Inspector for 2nd shift at our Elk Grove Village, IL facility.

Job Summary
The Quality Inspector will be working from established work instructions, performs inspections on sheet metal products using hand inspection tools such as surface plates, height gauges, calipers, micrometers, indicators and plug gauges.

Responsibilities

• Inspect sheet metal products and measure dimensions using hand inspection tools like surface plates, calipers, height gauges, indicators, plug gauges or micrometers.
• Must be able to work both independently and effectively within a team environment to ensure individual and departmental objectives are accomplished.
• Work with staff to address and fix quality problems and suggest improvements to prevent them from recurring.

Experience

• Experience with sheet metal manufacturing is strongly preferred.
• Experience with part inspection, CNC Turret, Laser, Brake Press, Welding preferred.

Requirements

• A high level of accuracy is required.
• Ability to read and understand part drawings
• Ability to lift 35 lbs. and standing most of the shift.
• Ability to use micrometer, caliper, height gauge, etc.
• Strong time management, communication and interpersonal skills
• Bi-Lingual Spanish preferred

Education

• High School Diploma

Working Conditions

• Manufacturing environment.
• Work in an environment that may have varying temperatures and/or noisy.
• Required to wear protective equipment such as ear plugs, safety glasses, etc.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
