Position Overview
We are seeking a highly strategic and execution-focused Vice President of AI Strategy & Operations to drive the alignment between AI vision and operational excellence.
This role is responsible for translating AI strategy into scalable operational frameworks, ensuring efficient execution of AI initiatives, and optimizing organizational performance through AI-driven transformation. The ideal candidate combines strategic insight, operational rigor, and deep understanding of AI technologies.
Key Responsibilities
1. AI Strategy Alignment & Execution
Translate enterprise AI strategy into actionable operational plans and initiatives
Ensure alignment between strategic priorities and day-to-day execution
Drive prioritization of AI initiatives based on business impact and ROI
2. AI Operations & Scaling
Design and implement operating models for scaling AI across the organization
Optimize workflows, processes, and systems powered by AI
Ensure efficient deployment and adoption of AI solutions at scale
3. Cross-functional Coordination
Partner with AI, data science, engineering, product, and business teams
Act as a bridge between strategy, execution, and operations
Drive accountability and alignment across senior stakeholders
4. Performance Management & Business Impact
Define KPIs and OKRs for AI initiatives and operations
Track and report performance metrics, ensuring measurable business outcomes
Drive continuous improvement based on data insights
5. Process Optimization & Operational Excellence
Establish standardized frameworks for AI program execution and operations
Improve efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of AI workflows
Introduce automation and intelligent systems into operational processes
6. Governance, Risk & Compliance
Implement governance frameworks for AI operations (compliance, risk, auditability)
Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal standards
Mitigate operational and strategic risks related to AI deployment
7. Resource & Investment Management
Oversee allocation of resources (talent, infrastructure, budget) across AI initiatives
Optimize cost structures and maximize ROI on AI investments
Manage vendor and ecosystem partnerships
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
18 years of experience in strategy, operations, or program leadership in technology-driven environments
Proven track record of scaling complex AI or digital transformation initiatives
Strong understanding of AI/ML lifecycle and enterprise deployment
Experience leading cross-functional and global teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in AI-first companies, fintech, SaaS, or platform organizations
Familiarity with MLOps, data infrastructure, and AI platforms
Background in consulting, operations leadership, or transformation roles
Experience managing large-scale operational budgets
