Role Description The CDL A Truck Driver is a full-time, on-site role based in Atlanta, GA. The driver will be responsible for safely operating Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight between customer locations, terminals, and distribution points. Daily tasks include conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, securing and documenting loads, following assigned routes and schedules, and complying with all DOT and company safety regulations. The role also involves maintaining accurate logs and delivery records, communicating with dispatch and customers regarding timelines or issues, and ensuring equipment is kept clean and in good working order. The driver is expected to represent Trenchwork professionally, support on-time delivery standards, and contribute to a culture of reliability and results.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license, clean driving record, and current DOT medical card.
- Proven experience operating Class A commercial vehicles, with strong skills in safe driving, maneuvering, and backing.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, and basic vehicle maintenance and inspections.
- Ability to read and follow delivery routes, manifests, and shipping documents with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to handle schedules, deadlines, and multiple deliveries.
- Professional communication skills for interacting with dispatch, customers, and team members respectfully and clearly.
- Physical ability to load, unload, secure freight, and handle equipment as needed, following safety protocols.
