Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Epoxy Pipe Lining Technician to join our trenchless pipe rehabilitation team. This role focuses on restoring aging and damaged drain, sewer, and plumbing systems using cured-in-place epoxy lining (CIPP) methods. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and takes pride in precision workmanship while working in high-end residential and commercial environments.
This position offers hands-on technical work in a fast-growing trenchless industry, combining plumbing knowledge, mechanical skill, and modern rehabilitation technology to deliver long-lasting solutions with minimal disruption to customers’ properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform epoxy pipe lining installations for residential and commercial drain and sewer systems, including preparation, mixing, saturation, inversion/pull-in, curing, and final inspection
- Conduct pipe descaling, cleaning, and root removal using mechanical tools and specialty equipment prior to lining installation
- Operate and maintain specialized lining equipment, including:
- Chain knockers and descaling machines
- Air compressors and curing systems
- Cameras and inspection equipment
- Mixers, pumps, and inversion tools
- Accurately capture and label before-and-after camera footage for quality control, documentation, and customer reporting
- Assist with job setup and breakdown, including protecting customer property and maintaining a clean, professional jobsite
- Perform confined-space work and adhere strictly to safety protocols, PPE requirements, and company procedures
- Troubleshoot installation challenges in real time, applying mechanical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Communicate professionally with customers when needed, explaining processes and answering basic questions clearly and confidently
- Safely lift, move, and handle equipment, liners, hoses, and materials throughout the workday
- Support related plumbing or trenchless repair tasks as needed to ensure project completion and customer satisfaction
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using power tools and industrial equipment
- Experience in plumbing, drain cleaning, trenchless repair, construction, or a related trade preferred (training available for the right candidate)
- Ability to work with epoxy resins and chemicals, following precise mixing ratios and curing procedures
- Comfortable working in crawlspaces, basements, rooftops, and confined environments
- High attention to detail — lining work must meet strict quality standards with zero tolerance for shortcuts
- Ability to follow technical procedures, checklists, and documentation requirements
- Physically capable of heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, and extended periods of manual labor
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-first mindset
Preferred (But Not Required)
- Prior epoxy pipe lining or CIPP experience
- Plumbing or drain service background
- Experience working in occupied homes or high-end residential properties
- Familiarity with camera inspections and sewer diagnostics
