What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Coordinator position at Tremron LLC?
Tremron LLC, part of The QUIKRETE® Companies, LLC the leading packaged cement and concrete products producer, has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Safety Coordinator for our Jacksonville, FL facility.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with an extensive EH&S and/or quality experience.
Shift: 1st 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Responsibilities:
Safety
- Responsible for oversight, implementation, and continuous improvement of Pavestone’s Safety and Health program
- Performs new employee training and onboarding as it relates to the safety program
- Active in monthly plant trainings as well as task specific safety training
- Works alongside Plant Manager and General Manager on environmental compliance
- Participates in company safety committee
- Conducts incident investigations to determine root cause & corrective actions.
- Performs periodic site assessments
- Serves as a safety “coach” and is a resource for all plant employees
Job Qualifications
- Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Must have strong leadership and collaboration skills
- Must have strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Must have good oral and written communication skills
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) a plus but not required
- Strong computer knowledge along with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must be able to wear all required PPE (Hard hat, safety glasses, safety footwear, and hearing protection)
