Full-Time News Reporter
The Trempealeau County Times is seeking a motivated, full-time reporter to cover local news, government, schools, and community events in Trempealeau County.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys meeting people, asking questions and telling the stories that matter in local communities.
Responsibilities include:
Covering local government meetings
- Writing news and feature stories
- Taking photographs for publication
- Developing story ideas and cultivating sources
- Working occasional evenings to cover meetings and events
Qualifications:
Strong writing and communication skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Photography experience is helpful but not required
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Journalism experience is preferred, but we will consider candidates with strong writing skills and a willingness to learn.
