Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Caregiver/Resident Care Assistant (RCA) to join our team at a 38-bed assisted living facility. The RCA provides direct care and daily support to residents, helping to maintain their independence, dignity, and overall well-being.
This role is essential in creating a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment for our residents while collaborating with the broader care team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and mobility
- Respond promptly and respectfully to resident requests for assistance
- Ensure residents’ living spaces are clean, safe, and comfortable
- Accurately document care and services provided in accordance with facility policies and procedures
- Follow all infection control, safety, and emergency protocols
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff, families, and team members to deliver high-quality care
- Promote resident independence, dignity, and quality of life
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in senior living, healthcare, or caregiving preferred
- Strong communication skills with residents, families, and team members
- Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Compassionate, patient, and team-oriented attitude
Work Environment
- Fast-paced, resident-centered care setting
- Requires standing, walking, lifting, and assisting residents throughout shifts
Schedule Details
- Full-time day position
- Includes every other weekend rotation
- Includes holiday rotation
Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
