Duties
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges while maintaining attention to detail.
- Greet customers warmly, offering assistance and product information to enhance their shopping experience.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and mobile payments with precision and integrity.
- Upsell products by suggesting complementary items or promotions during checkout to maximize sales opportunities.
- Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, restocking supplies as needed to ensure efficiency.
- Assist with product demos and merchandising efforts to showcase new or featured items effectively.
- Provide friendly phone etiquette when answering inquiries or directing calls, ensuring clear communication at all times.
Experience
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math skills are essential for accurate transactions.
