OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION: To leverage technical expertise and strategic business development skills to drive foundational growth with key clients as set forth by the Global Business Director. Serve as technical authority on TREMEC powertrain systems, subsystems and component manufacturing with the primary objective to grow new business by engagement with customer engineering, advanced engineering and purchasing teams, to provide value in technical capabilities and commercial objectives. Lead business development initiatives targeting key decision-makers, manage multiple projects and customer accounts, and engage with cross-functional teams to pursue new business opportunities. Provide strategic guidance and technical representation to both current and prospective customers, reinforcing TREMEC's brand values and manufacturing capabilities. Act as a key representative of TREMEC, attending industry consortia and driving innovation to enhance brand visibility and contribution to long-term business growth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and grow strategic relationships with targeted clients, serving as the principal point of contact for all technical and new business inquiries.
- Analyze and comprehend customer requirements, collaborating directly with engineering and advanced engineering teams to drive contributing value and solutions.
- Provide expert technical guidance on TREMEC powertrain systems, subsystems, and component-level manufacturing capabilities, establishing technical authority in client interfacing engagements.
- Lead independent business development initiatives with defined focus on technical and strategic decision makers aligned to new business pursuits.
- Work in cross-functional interfacing disciplines aligned to new business opportunities.
- Develop and present detailed technical presentations, product demonstrations, and introductions of TREMEC’s capabilities for both current and prospective customers.
- Develop, maintain and strengthen customer relationships by reinforcing the technical capabilities and brand values of TREMEC.
- Manage multiple projects and customer accounts simultaneously, ensuring technical deliverables are met while maintaining project timelines.
- Engage with current and potential customers, including purchasing, engineering and program planning teams, to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Communicate, manage, and follow up on leads within assigned industries, leveraging technical expertise to drive customer acquisition.
- Represent TREMEC at key consortia meetings to build brand awareness and promote technical innovations in alignment with global business objectives.
REQUIREMENTS PROFILE:
Professional Background / Basic Qualifications / Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, MBA is a plus
- 5 years experience in Powertrain Engineering and Manufacturing
- Direct OEM interface experience in a senior engineering capacity
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Technical Expertise:
- Comprehensive knowledge on ICE, Hybrid and EV Powertrain and Torque Transfer architectures
- Comprehensive knowledge on TREMEC’s core manufacturing process capabilities
- Comprehensive knowledge on GDT, FMEA, DFMEA, APQP, GPDP processes
- Core knowledge of basic FEA, CFD, KISSSoft and related simulation methodologies
- Ability to create and understand detailed part cost and manufacturing process breakdowns
- MS Office skills
