Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Position Summary-

To provide the services of shipping and receiving product and materials to / from the Trelleborg-Pawling / Pawling Engineered Products’ shipping docks.

What you will do:

• Receive product into the shipping department to prepare for shipment to customers.  Includes process of preparing filled skids for proper shipping according to customer and carrier requirements.  Loading and unloading trucks as needed.
• Process and maintain daily shipping reports, create weekly pick lists, routing, billing, shipping and receiving. Process inventory allocation, invoice, billing, bills of lading and shipping labels.
• Process special requirements for domestic and international shipping documents, samples and UPS shipments for entire company.
• Computer processing: including, but not limited to billing and shipping with USP online World Ship, Federal Express, DHL.  Create labels for inventory and bar coding for shipments. Compile and maintain daily accounting for international shipments.  Process freight claim, return material authorization, proof of delivery and receiving. Maintain and organize warehouse inventories and shipping supplies.
• Heavy phone communication with freight forwarders and transportation companies to obtain favorable price quotes and coordinate pickups.
•  

  Manage and maintain proper Department of Transportation (DOT) records for shipping and receiving of hazardous materials.

You are:

• A High School (or equivalent) graduate, able to read, write and speak English well.  Bilingual a plus.
• Have 2 plus years in a same or similar position.
• Have strong computer skills.
• Have the ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license on our site by demonstrating good driving skills and spatial perception.
• Be organized and detail oriented.
• Have good math and analytical skills.
• Have recent DOT Hazardous Materials training (or will be provided)
• Have the ability to work overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability be moving, bending, lifting, pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, approximately 50-75% of your 8-hour workday.  You will need full use of your hands and eyes, with or without assisted devices to be able to grasp, handle and feel objects.

Salary Info: This is a first shift, on site position with a starting rate commensurate with experience $20 - $22 per hour

No Relocation Available.  Applicants should be in a 25-mile radius of Pawling, NY.
