The Supply Chain Management team supports Trelleborg business operations both domestically and internationally by ensuring our products and solutions reach our clients on time while meeting our high quality standards.
The Production Planning & Customer Service Supervisor plays a key role in meeting the demands of both internal and external customers. Working in partnership with the Warehouse Supervisors, this role is responsible for planning approximately 10,000 stock orders and 5000 value added orders per month across several markets. This role will also oversee our Customer Service team while working with TSS internal Marketing colleagues to ensure exceptional customer support. It is important for this supervisor to be able to balance and prioritize both Planning and Customer Service to ensure the warehouse is best prepared to fulfill customer demands.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning - 75%
- Oversee and mentor the Planning Group to ensure a high level of proficiency and development
- Ensure a consistent handoff of planning information to the production floor
- Identify and manage bottlenecks and capacity issues
- Evaluate current production processes and recommend improvements.
- Lead the development of planning tools to increase the level of automation and reduce the manual nature of the planning function
- Liaise with Procurement to achieve on time delivery at optimum cost with optimum inventory levels
- Other assignments as directed
Customer Service - 25%
- Supervisor Customer Service team of 3 Customer Service Associates
- Act as point of escalation for issues as needed
- Notify customers on any delays and outages.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or related field
- 3 years of experience planning production activities
- Experience managing customer service operations preferred
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of JD Edwards E1 or Hubble a plus
