About The Job

The Quality Engineer is responsible for the support of operations and thorough design and maintenance of systems and procedures that include Six Sigma, SQC, SPC, and TQM and satisfy requirements on the wide range of Trelleborg products. Maintain and support of ISO9001 system. Support company Safety program.

Responsibilities

• Analyze quality data and train others in use of statistical software.
• Design, maintain and update plant quality systems, procedures, and S.O.P.’s to meet ISO9001 requirements.
• Ensure compliance regarding Customer quality systems and other requirements.
• Create and maintain Six Sigma, SQC, and SPC programs, including reporting.
• Participate in facility continuous improvement activities.
• Design, implement, and supervise Employee Quality Training program.
• Interface with customers to review & preview quality problems. Process customer corrective actions and review customer returns. Champion corrective actions with a multi-functional team.
• Perform Internal audits to ISO9001 requirements.
• Other duties, as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, or related field or equivalent experience in quality related field as well as production / manufacturing and or inspection / lab experience.
• High computer skill proficiencies in the following applications
• MS Office
• MiniTab or major statistical package
• Specialty software (e.g., ISO compliance, gauge calibration systems)
• SAP or other major ERP system
• Excellent written and verbal skills as well as effective problem solving and organizational skills.
• Trained in Six Sigma methods and applications.
• Ability to present concepts to our customer base.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a valid passport.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
