Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote exploration, creativity, and foundational skills in toddlers.
- Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages children to express themselves and build confidence.
- Monitor and support individual developmental milestones related to childhood development, including social skills, language acquisition, and motor skills.
- Ensure safety and hygiene standards are maintained through regular cleaning, sanitizing toys and surfaces, and supervising children at all times.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns regarding their well-being or development.
- Manage classroom routines effectively, including meal times, nap schedules, diapering or potty training, and transitions between activities.
- Incorporate first aid procedures promptly when necessary and maintain a safe environment by adhering to all health regulations.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar caregiving roles.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages specific to toddlers.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills to foster positive behavior management strategies.
- Ability to communicate effectively with young children and their families while demonstrating patience and empathy.
- Experience with classroom experience involving infants or toddler care is highly desirable.
