Daily Operations
- Oversee the opening and closing of the museum and ensure all spaces are ready for visitors.
- Supervise Museum Attendant staff and volunteers to ensure positive guest experiences.
- Manage admissions, memberships, and POS systems accurately.
- Maintain safety standards and coordinate with vendors for cleaning, maintenance, and supplies.
Event & Program Support
- Work closely with the Education Manager to support field trips, Saturday events, and community programs.
- Set up and break down event spaces, crafts, and special activities.
- Ensure that exhibits and play areas are functioning and well-presented at all times.
Volunteer & Staff Coordination
- Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers and part-time staff.
- Foster a welcoming and team-oriented environment for all staff and volunteers.
- Ensure clear communication between Museum Attendants, Shift Leads, Education Manager, and Executive Director.
Facility & Safety Management
- Perform daily walk-throughs to monitor cleanliness, safety, and exhibit condition.
- Coordinate basic facility repairs and communicate larger maintenance needs to the Executive Director.
- Maintain safety protocols, including incident reports and emergency procedures.
Administrative Support
- Assist with supply orders, vendor communications, and record keeping.
- Provide operational updates at staff meetings.
- Support the Executive Director with logistics for large-scale events and projects.
- Experience in operations, hospitality, education, or facility management preferred.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead teams with positivity and flexibility.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, child-centered environment.
- Basic computer and POS proficiency; willingness to learn museum systems.
