Job Title: Head of North America Market Development - Data Center Power Solutions

Compensation: Competitive base salary plus commission, with target total compensation around $250,000
About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a global power electronics manufacturer to identify a senior commercial leader to drive North America expansion for its data center server power solutions business.
This is a newly created leadership role with the opportunity to build market presence from the ground up, develop strategic customer relationships, establish channel partnerships, and help shape go-to-market strategy in one of the most important regions for AI and data center infrastructure growth.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in market development, business development, strategic sales, or account leadership within data center infrastructure, server power, power electronics, or related sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the annual North America market strategy and business development plan for data center server power solutions
- Identify priority accounts, target regions, and growth opportunities across hyperscale, OEM/ODM, ISP, server OEM, and channel ecosystems
- Lead the development of key enterprise customers and establish long-term strategic relationships in the North American market
- Build and manage channel partnerships and support the creation of a scalable local commercial presence
- Drive first-customer acquisition and support successful product landing in the region
- Partner closely with product, R&D, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to support customer programs, commercialization, and launch execution
- Contribute market insight and customer feedback into product definition and product line planning
- Lead customer-facing discussions including technical exchanges, solution presentations, roadmap alignment, commercial negotiations, and cross-functional coordination
- Help manage and optimize quotation processes, contract terms, and delivery coordination to support complex customer engagements
- Build and maintain competitive intelligence across the North American data center power market
- Track market and technology trends across AI servers, GPU infrastructure, high-power PSU, digital power, HVDC, GaN, SiC, and adjacent power technologies
- Deliver market insight and commercial feedback to support strategic planning and long-term business growth
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in North America market development, business development, strategic sales, or account leadership within data center infrastructure, server power, power electronics, or related industries
- Strong understanding of data center power architecture and critical power solutions, including server power supplies, high-density power supplies, redundant power systems, UPS, HVDC, power conversion, backup power, and related equipment
- Proven success developing customer relationships and commercial opportunities in the U.S. market
- Experience managing complex B2B sales cycles involving technical, operational, and commercial stakeholders
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, operations, and manufacturing teams in a global business environment
- Ability to lead customer discussions spanning solution value, technical alignment, commercial structure, and execution planning
- Bachelor’s degree required; technical degrees in electrical engineering, electronics, power electronics, automation, or related fields are preferred
- U.S. work authorization required
- Professional fluency in English required; Mandarin Chinese is strongly preferred for global collaboration
- Must be based in or open to the San Francisco Bay Area
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in AIDC, IDC, data center power systems, critical power infrastructure, or server power supply environments
- Existing relationships within hyperscale, cloud, enterprise data center, server OEM, or related infrastructure ecosystems
- Experience building a regional market, channel strategy, or customer base from the ground up
- Ability to engage credibly in technical customer conversations and communicate solution value effectively
- Experience with products or infrastructure related to server power supplies, UPS, inverters, transformers, switchgear, busbars, backup power, or adjacent data center power systems
- Background with leading power system, critical infrastructure, or data center technology companies is a plus
