We are seeking a highly experienced accounting professional to oversee advanced accounting operations, financial management, client advisory services, and internal workflow oversight within our firm. This leadership role is responsible for managing complex accounting engagements, supervising staff, maintaining financial accuracy, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients and firm ownership.
The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of independently managing high-level accounting functions while maintaining exceptional client service and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and review monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting engagements
- Manage financial statement preparation and general ledger review
- Supervise bookkeeping, payroll processing, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data and provide operational and financial recommendations to clients
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal procedures, and reporting deadlines
- Train, supervise, and mentor accounting and administrative staff
- Maintain and improve firm workflows, systems, and internal controls
- Serve as the primary contact for high-level client accounting matters
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial planning
- Coordinate client onboarding and ongoing account management
- Review and improve accounting processes for accuracy and efficiency
- Support firm leadership with operational planning and strategic growth initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5–10 years of accounting or financial management experience
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting procedures
- Experience supervising staff and managing multiple client accounts or departments
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize work independently
- Proficiency in accounting software, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
- Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities
