The Crew Leader Arborist will oversee a team of 3-5 professionals, managing daily field operations such as pruning, removals, and structural bracing. This role offers the opportunity to work with a team of certified professionals dedicated to the care and preservation of valuable trees, while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a crew of 3-5 arborists in daily field operations, including both climbing and aerial lift work.
- Assign tasks and ensure proper execution of pruning, removals, and structural bracing projects.
- Provide on-the-job training, mentorship, and guidance to climbers and ground support staff.
- Maintain high standards of safety and quality by ensuring adherence to company protocols and industry standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members, other crew leaders, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
- Oversee the proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment, reporting any issues as needed.
Qualifications
- Proficient in all aspects of arboricultural services and equipment, including climbing, aerial lifts, stump grinders, trucks, and chippers.
- Knowledge of and adherence to ANSI Z133 and A300 standards.
- ISA or MCA certification, or willingness to obtain certification.
- 1b 2a hoisting license, or ability to obtain within the first 6 months of employment.
- Valid drivers license.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- 3-5 years experience leading a crew in the arboricultural services
