Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced leader with a positive attitude and a passion for customer service to help manage our expanding portfolio of accounts. The right candidate will have the ability to work independently, proactively manage sites and crews, and consistently deliver the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and schedule multiple crews and accounts simultaneously.
  • Direct and coordinate with supervisors to train workers to perform contractual scope of work.
  • Maintain client and account records and time reports.
  • Adhere to the company’s annual horticulture schedule.
  • Perform water management, including proactive controller programming, monitoring, identifying, and reporting issues.
  • Coordinate site work with supervisor and irrigation technicians.
  • Maintain target gross margins for maintenance and irrigation departments.
  • Proactively present enhancement ideas to existing customers; prepare estimates and submit proposals.
  • Maintain excellent customer relations: meet with clients, discuss projects, resolve issues, and address concerns.
  • Develop and maintain a site walkthrough schedule; generate task lists and enhancement options.
  • Oversee efficiency and utilization of best horticultural practices.
  • Review profit and loss for your portfolio.
  • Ensure crews wear company-issued apparel, PPE, and abide by the company Safety Policy.
  • Lead the Company’s Safety and Image standards for your department.
  • Recruit and interview new candidates.
  • Participate in weekly management team meetings and on-site training.
  • Review and manage employee work hours to match the budget.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: Degree/Certification in Landscape Horticulture (preferred).
  • Certifications: CLT, QWEL, CLCA Certified Water Management, ReScape certified (preferred).
  • Experience: 2 years of experience managing commercial maintenance accounts (preferred).
  • Knowledge/Skills:
  • Extensive plant and horticultural knowledge (required).
  • ReScape/Bay-Friendly principles and practices.
  • IPM practices.
  • Irrigation problem diagnosis, repair, and controller programming(Preferred).
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication (English/Spanish Required).
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and various CRM tools.
  • Licenses: Valid California Driver’s License; insurable by our insurance carrier.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $85,000 – $100,000 annually, depending on experience and certifications.
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday; flexible schedule, minimum of 8 hours
  • Eligible for annual performance bonus and quarterly bonus opportunities.
