Tree-Ripe Fruit Co. delivers premium fruit directly to neighborhoods through a fast-moving, route-based distribution model. We’re looking for an Operations Lead to take full ownership of day-to-day operations—from inbound logistics to outbound delivery execution.
This role is hands-on, detail-oriented, and critical to keeping the entire operation running efficiently.
What You’ll Do
Logistics & Transportation
- Coordinate all inbound trucking from suppliers to Tree-Ripe facilities
- Evaluate carriers, negotiate rates, and manage all communication
- Schedule dock times for inbound and outbound trucks
- Oversee receiving to ensure accuracy, timing, and product quality
Facility & Equipment Management
- Oversee day-to-day facility operations and upkeep
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and vendor services
- Operate forklifts and company vehicles as needed
Inventory & Product Flow
- Manage daily inventory allocation across all distribution trucks
- Create and maintain load charts for accurate, efficient loading
- Monitor inventory levels and support product ordering
- Coordinate resupply and ensure proper product flow throughout the day
Route Execution
- Ensure trucks are loaded correctly and depart on time
- Monitor daily route execution and resolve issues in real time
- Adjust routes, loads, and timing as needed to maintain efficiency
Systems & Process Improvement
- Develop and refine operational processes and workflows
- Maintain tools for tracking routes, loads, and operational performance
- Identify bottlenecks and implement practical improvements
What Success Looks Like
- Trucks are loaded accurately and leave on time, every day
- Product moves efficiently from supplier to customer
- Operations run smoothly with minimal disruption
- Inventory is controlled and waste is minimized
- The operation becomes more structured, consistent, and scalable
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years in operations, logistics, or a similar environment
- Experience working in fast-paced, time-sensitive operations
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple moving parts and make decisions quickly
- Comfortable working hands-on in warehouse and outdoor environments
Preferred
- Experience in route-based or distribution operations
- Inventory or supply chain experience
- Forklift experience
Compensation
- $70,000–$80,000 base salary
- $5,000–$15,000 performance bonus
