LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE TEACHER - 1st/2nd Grade Split Class - PART TIME
We at the Grove City Freedom Collective are looking for a motivated person who has a passion for education, is great at working in a team environment - but can also thrive independently, and is proficient at teaching 1st and 2nd grade materials in all core subjects on a daily basis, plus art which is taught once per week.
Dates: ASAP (as soon as January 12) to May 21, 2026
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:45am-2:15pm
Pay Rate: $19-$20 per hour, based on experience and education

Highlights:
Small classroom! No more than 10 students in your class!
Encouraging Christian faith environment.
Paid bi-weekly, with 24 hours per week paid (on a regular week with no school breaks)
No Fridays!
Ideal Candidate:
Must have education background and a minimum of 1 year teaching or substitute teaching experience. (This includes a very experienced homeschool parent, or someone with a teaching degree/certificate)
Must have experience, and be comfortable with independent lesson planning.
Must have strong classroom management skills.
Must be a self-motivated person who operates well with minimal management.
Must have a belief system that aligns with Christian values and is comfortable teaching all curricula with a Biblical Worldview.
Applicants must be proficient and comfortable teaching:
1. Math (up through multiplication/division)
2. 1st and 2nd Language Arts materials
3. 1st and 2nd grade science and social studies materials
4. Art materials and projects
