Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Miami, FL
We are hiring a CFO to join our fast-growing group of companies in global logistics, food trading, and commercial shipping services.
About Us
You’ll be leading the financial operations of a group that includes:
- Tree Logistics LLC – Global logistics (project cargo, NVOCC, RoRo, breakbulk, inland services).
- Tree Market LLC – International food and commodity trading.
- Tree Ocean Services LLC – Sales and service provider for VOCCs and terminal handlers (commercial agency, customer service, documentation).
You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the executive leadership across the group.
What You’ll Do
- Lead financial strategy and unified control across all companies.
- Manage financial planning for logistics and shipping operations.
- Oversee trading finance for Tree Market, including:
- Cost of goods analysis
- Trade finance structuring
- FX and country risk management
- Supplier/customer payment flow design
- Track KPIs (e.g., EBITDA by project, income by division, cash flow).
- Handle treasury, tax, and banking across multiple jurisdictions.
- Support international expansion (Caribbean, LatAm, etc.).
- Lead internal financial teams and external stakeholders (auditors, banks, etc.).
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and multi-entity strategy
- Strong command of financial statement preparation, reporting, and analysis
- Experience with regulatory compliance (U.S. GAAP, international tax, multi-jurisdictional banking)
- Advanced analytical and strategic decision-making skills
- Experience in logistics, shipping, or international trade is highly valued
- Proficiency with financial software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (MBA and/or CPA preferred)
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams
