Responsibilities
- Safely ascend trees using climbing gear and techniques to perform pruning, trimming, and removal tasks.
- Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts to access high branches or perform ground-based maintenance efficiently.
- Use rigging methods to secure limbs or trees for safe removal or pruning.
- Conduct tree assessments to identify hazards, disease, or structural issues requiring attention.
- Apply horticultural principles to promote healthy growth and landscape integration for trees and surrounding vegetation.
- Assist with maintenance of equipment
Experience
- Prior experience in tree care, and horticulture is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated growing experience with trees and plant health management.
- Knowledge of tree trimming techniques, pruning standards, and safety procedures related to arboriculture.
- Familiarity with rigging systems, bucket operation, and the use of bucket trucks, and lifts, is advantageous.
- Ability to follow safety protocols rigorously while working at heights or with heavy equipment.
