Position Summary
The Certified Safety Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, TCIA standards, and company policies. This role plays a critical part in protecting employees, reducing risk, and promoting a proactive safety culture across all job sites. The ideal candidate must hold a TCIA safety certification, specifically the TCIA Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP) or equivalent TCIA-recognized safety certification.
Required Qualifications
- Active TCIA safety certification (Certified Treecare Safety Professional – CTSP or equivalent TCIA safety certification).
- Minimum 3–5 years of safety management experience, preferably in tree care, arboriculture, construction, or field-based operations.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard recognition, and risk mitigation.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Ability to travel to multiple job sites as required.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing or managing safety programs in TCIA-accredited companies.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Familiarity with workers’ compensation processes and claims management.
- Experience using safety management software or digital reporting tools.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Capable of walking job sites, climbing uneven terrain, and observing active operations.
- May require occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs).
