Job Overview: As a Data Governance lead at Tredence, you will lead the design and implementation of comprehensive data governance frameworks tailored for the retail industry. Success in this role means delivering scalable data governance roadmaps and blueprints that ensure data quality, metadata management, and master data management (MDM) capabilities across enterprise systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions that foster last-mile adoption of insights. This role is critical in helping Tredence’s clients harness their data assets securely and effectively to drive strategic business outcomes. What will your role look like? - Design and develop end-to-end data governance roadmaps and blueprints aligned with retail domain requirements and organizational goals. - Lead implementation efforts around data modeling, data quality frameworks, and metadata management practices. - Architect master data management (MDM) solutions and define MDM roadmaps to ensure consistent and trusted data across systems. - Utilize Microsoft Purview for data cataloging, classification, and policy enforcement to enhance governance standards. - Collaborate with data scientists, business analysts, and engineering teams to integrate governance mechanisms seamlessly into data pipelines. - Build and optimize SQL queries and Python scripts to support governance processes and automate data quality checks. - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering teams to adopt best practices in governance and data stewardship. - Monitor and report on data governance metrics to senior stakeholders, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance adherence. You will need: - Possess 7-12 years of professional experience in data governance, data engineering, or related roles within the retail industry. - Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. - Demonstrate expertise in creating and executing data governance roadmaps and blueprints. - Apply strong knowledge of data modeling, data quality frameworks, and master data management strategies. - Exhibit hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview or similar metadata management platforms. - Write proficient SQL queries for data manipulation and analysis. - Utilize Python scripting for automation, data validation, and integration within governance frameworks. - Possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex business needs into technical solutions.
