Role Description The Network and Computer Systems Administrator – SME is a full-time, on-site position based in Fayetteville, NC, Washington State, South Korea, Japan, and Tampa, FL. This role is responsible for administering, configuring, and maintaining servers, workstations, and network infrastructure to ensure secure and reliable operations. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring system performance, managing user accounts and access controls, applying patches and updates, and implementing backup and recovery procedures. The administrator will diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, collaborate with cybersecurity and engineering teams to strengthen network security, and support system upgrades and integrations. The role also involves documenting configurations, maintaining technical procedures, and providing expert guidance to stakeholders on best practices for systems and network administration.
Qualifications
- Strong system administration skills, including server management, operating system configuration, and user account administration.
- Robust network administration capabilities, covering routing, switching, network monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience in technical support and troubleshooting across hardware, software, and network environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in network security, including firewalls, access controls, vulnerability mitigation, and secure configurations.
- Knowledge of virtualization, cloud environments, and enterprise infrastructure tools is beneficial.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements for government or regulated environments is preferred.
- Ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
