Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of warehousing and inventory control, managing over 12,000 SKUs. Ensures that orders are processed in an effective and timely manner while supervising a team of 4 warehouse specialists. He/she also coordinates with purchasing and manufacturing to ensure proper receiving.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Ensures effective utilization of warehouse areas and observes proper loading, unloading, stocking and safekeeping of items in order to prevent product damage and to avoid accidents and occupational hazards.

· Coordinates with the purchasing department with regards to incoming deliveries.

· Ensures accuracy of products inventories against system records by conducting cycle counts.

· Analyzes inventory variances per cycle count and provides immediate solution to significantly reduce the variance.

· Develops and effectively implements warehouse and inventory monitoring systems and procedures.

· Provides advice and support to other departments on production planning, inventory control and warehouse matters.

· Provides clear directions and general guidance to the department of basic polices and procedures and ensure that these are translated to action.

· Return to vendor processing and shipping. (RTV)

· Processing RMA returns

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

· Proven work experience overseeing warehouse operations.

· Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedures manuals and solve practical problems.

· Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop staff.

· Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communications skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or equivalent and Forklift Certification

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

· Ability to calculate amounts.

LANGUAGE and REASONING ABILITIES:

· Thorough ability to communicate in a clear, polite and courteous manner.

· Ability to speak effectively to customers and co-workers.

· Considerable knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and arithmetic.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Work in and around moving mechanical parts and in high places. Work can be out of doors in cold, hot and/or wet conditions. Good close, depth, color, distance and peripheral vision.

· Working conditions include exposure to moderate to loud noise

· Safe use and handling of Forklift

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Positions in this job typically work in an office setting with fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
