Logistics Manager
Trebor is a dynamic and growing wholesale paper distributor seeking an aggressive experienced full-time Logistics Manager to work with our CSR’s to procure freight rates that can be held for the life of that specific PO. Objectives of this role
· Support strategy execution for logistics and warehousing
· Acquire rates for our CSR’s pursuant to the needs of the specific PO.
· Maintain awareness of industry and global logistics trends that will benefit company in the marketplace
Responsibilities
· Identifying issues and actions to be taken, if problems arise
· Conduct root-cause analysis of failures and take corrective actions
· Report regularly to senior managers about progress, plans, and problems that could affect costs.
· Manage compliance, quality control, and quality assurance standards and specifications
Required skills and qualifications
· Three or more years of experience in logistics for wholesale distribution.
· Four or more years of experience in project management or a leadership position
· Strong systems skills, including proficiency with integrated software applications
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred skills and qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business administration, with focus on supply-chain management
· Knowledge of end-to-end logistics operations (including maritime, over-the-road, rail, customs, and warehousing)
