Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled PCIe Validation Engineer to validate and debug ultra-low-power designs on emulation and post-silicon platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PCIe architecture, ARM-based systems, FPGA emulation, embedded software development, and hardware validation.
Responsibilities
- Validate and debug ultra-low-power designs on emulation and post-silicon platforms.
- Develop and execute test plans in C to validate product features and functionality.
- Capture and analyze waveforms using Zebu or similar emulation platforms to identify and resolve design and integration issues.
- Perform hardware/software integration testing on pre-silicon and post-silicon platforms.
- Debug and troubleshoot hardware systems in virtualized and lab environments.
- Collaborate closely with RTL, Firmware, and Systems Engineering teams.
- Develop and maintain validation scripts and automation frameworks using C and Python.
- Utilize lab equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, protocol analyzers, and logic analyzers for debugging and validation activities.
Required Qualifications
- 2–7 years of experience in embedded systems testing and validation.
- Strong experience with emulation and post-silicon validation platforms.
- Deep understanding of PCIe architecture across all generations.
- Strong knowledge of ARM architecture.
- Experience with FPGA-based validation environments.
- Hands-on experience in firmware development and Linux/Bare-Metal driver development.
- Strong C programming skills; Python scripting experience is highly preferred.
- Understanding of embedded systems, firmware, and System-on-Chip (SoC) architecture.
- Experience with hardware/software integration testing.
- Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.
- Knowledge of peripheral protocols and specifications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Platform/Board-level debug experience.
- Prior experience working closely with RTL, Firmware, and Systems teams.
- Experience with validation automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with advanced protocol analysis and signal integrity debugging.
