Key Responsibilities
- Maintain insect cell cultures
- Perform recombinant protein expression and purification workflows (chromatography)
- Prepare and analyze protein samples (SDS-PAGE, Western blot, ELISA)
- Maintain laboratory organization, reagents, and equipment
- Document experiments and maintain accurate research records
- Support experimental design and troubleshooting
- Assist in establishing laboratory workflows, SOPs, and operational procedures
Required Qualifications
- BS in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field
- 3–5 years of hands-on laboratory experience
- Strong practical laboratory skills and ability to work independently
- Authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)
Preferred
- MSc or PhD in a relevant discipline
- Experience with baculovirus or insect expression systems
- Experience with protein purification and biochemical analysis (e.g., FPLC/AKTA)
- Experience with protein characterization techniques (Western blot, ELISA)
- Experience in process development for biologics or scale-up environments
- Experience working in small teams or startup environments
- Spanish language skills (a plus)
