Duties

• Perform professional hair styling services including cuts, blowouts, updos, and special occasion styles with precision and flair
• Deliver expert hair coloring techniques utilizing color theory principles to achieve vibrant or subtle results tailored to each client
• Apply hair extensions and perform hair threading to enhance clients’ looks and confidence
• Provide grooming services such as straight razor shaves and barbering techniques for diverse client needs
• Offer additional beauty treatments including eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care to create comprehensive beauty experiences
• Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools and workstations in accordance with health regulations
• Utilize salon software like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client management, retail sales tracking, and store management tasks
• Engage in retail sales by recommending hair care products, upselling services, and educating clients on proper maintenance
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences and provide personalized styling consultations
• Mentor junior team members and front desk staff to foster a collaborative team environment

Requirements

• Valid cosmetology license or barbering certification recognized by state licensing boards
• Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong portfolio of hair styling, coloring, and grooming services
• Knowledge of salon software such as MINDBODY for scheduling and client management
• Proficiency in hair care techniques including coloring, extensions, threading, and makeup application
• Familiarity with sanitation protocols and maintaining a clean work environment
• Strong communication skills for effective client consultation and team collaboration
• Ability to upsell retail products confidently while providing excellent customer service
• Experience with store management tasks such as inventory control and retail math calculations is a plus
• Passion for continuous learning about new trends in hair styling, coloring, and overall beauty treatments
