Overview
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of concrete finishing techniques and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. This role involves preparing and finishing concrete surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet project specifications. The Concrete Finisher will play a crucial role in the successful completion of various construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for concrete pouring by leveling, grading, and compacting soil or gravel.
- Operate and maintain concrete mixers and other hand tools necessary for finishing work.
- Pour, spread, and finish concrete using hand tools and power tools to achieve desired textures and finishes.
- Install stucco and perform caulking as needed for weatherproofing.
- Collaborate with other construction team members to ensure timely project completion.
- Conduct quality checks on finished surfaces to ensure they meet specifications.
- Assist with metal stud framing and drywall installation as required.
- Perform heavy lifting and maneuvering of materials throughout the job site.
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, concrete mixers, and finishing equipment.
- Knowledge of concrete forming techniques and construction estimating is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with construction work.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality workmanship.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively on-site.
- A valid driver's license may be required based on job site location.
