Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and safety-conscious Safety Spotter who speaks Japanese and English Only. “Responsibilities include daily communication with Japanese-speaking clients and employees and translation of Japanese and English materials. Please only apply if you speak both to join our manufacturing environment for this role, it starts as soon possible. Specifically within a fabrication (fab) setting. This role is essential for maintaining a safe work environment by monitoring operations, guiding equipment movement, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have experience in factory or warehouse settings, with mechanical knowledge and familiarity with manufacturing processes. Prior experience with forklifts, hand tools, power tools, and assembly lines is highly desirable. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic industrial environment dedicated to safety and efficiency.
Duties
- Must be able to work M-F, weekend work maybe required, as well as nights. Please be flexible.
- Must speak Japanese and English- ONLY
- Daily communication with Japanese-speaking clients and translation of Japanese and English materials. Need to work with Japanese employees
- Must pass a "drug and background check"
- Act as a visual safety observer during equipment operation, including forklift movements and assembly line activities
- Monitor the manufacturing floor for potential safety hazards and promptly address or report issues
- Assist in the safe movement of materials and machinery within the facility using appropriate hand tools and power tools
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during production processes and equipment handling
- Support the assembly line by providing safety oversight during mechanical tasks and assembly operations
- Conduct routine inspections of work areas to identify unsafe conditions or practices
- Collaborate with team members to promote a culture of safety awareness across the facility
Skills
- Prior experience in factory or manufacturing environments, especially within a fab or assembly setting
- Mechanical knowledge related to factory equipment, hand tools, power tools, and assembly processes
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and forklift operation is preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize potential safety risks quickly
- Good communication skills for effective reporting and teamwork
- Ability to work safely around moving machinery and industrial equipment
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices within manufacturing facilities
