What are the responsibilities and job description for the Blowout Artist position at Treasure Island Hotel & Casino?
Specific Job Functions
- Consult clients to determine desired hairstyle and recommend appropriate blowout techniques and products.
- Perform professional blowouts, using brushes, blow dryers, and styling tools to achieve a variety of looks.
- Maintain the safety of all guests and staff by providing a clean and sanitary work environment, including sanitizing, disinfecting, and sweeping as necessary.
- Dispose of soiled linens towels as needed.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all products and provide guests with current information involving the latest techniques and procedures.
- Stock work stations and inform management of necessary inventory needing replacement.
- Provide excellent customer service by completing services promptly in the time allotted while maintaining professional and courteous behavior to all guests and employees.
- Check equipment for damage or in need of repair.
- Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department.
- Current Cosmetologist license, as issued by the State Board of Cosmetology.
- Current health card as issued by the Clark County Health District.
- At least one year of experience as a hairstylist required.
- Previous customer service experience necessary.
- Must have flexible schedule.
- Excellent communication skills a must.
- Communicate is English both verbally and written.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Basic knowledge of spa software preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and handle a fast-paced work environment.
