REPORTS TO: Den Supervisor
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Full knowledge of all food and beverage offerings.
- Ensure each guest has a great dining experience.
- Provide friendly, attentive and timely service.
- Maintain focus on the guest at all times during shift.
- Assume 100% responsibility for the guest’s excellent dining experience.
- Welcome and greet guests within 1 minute. Make all guests feel special and let them know you are there to take care of them.
- Inform guests of the specials and any menu changes.
- Make specific recommendations you genuinely feel your guest will enjoy. This includes beverages, appetizers, entrées and desserts. Up-sell. Suggestive Sell
- Answer questions about our food, beverage and other casino functions or services that the guest may ask.
- Take food and beverage orders from guests and properly enter them correctly into the point of sale system. If you feel something may be hard for the Cooks to understand, please contact them immediately. Follow up with cooks with any type of special instructions to ensure accuracy
- Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guest in a timely manner. Pre-bus
- Provide beverage refills and monitor guest’s needs to ensure they are satisfied with their meal. Respond promptly to any request. Pre-bus
- Pre-bus tables in between courses. While pre-bussing, make sure you are asking specific questions to ensure your guests are having a great experience. “How did you enjoy the shrimp and crawfish pasta”
- Perform side work during each shift as required.
- Maintain a clean and stocked service and dining area.
- Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, and properly process through the POS system. If a signature is required, please make sure that is done properly.
- Return change quickly to the guest.
- Be ready and willing to assist other servers when needed. Work as a team.
- Thank guests for their visit and ask them to return again. It does not matter if they are your guest or not. Smile!!!
- Notify Supervisor on duty any time a guest is not 100% satisfied.
- Follow all Treasure Bay departmental safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Maintain appearance standards as outlined by Treasure Bay.
- Other duties required by management.
EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
High school graduate or GED equivalent. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary languages of the work location. Knowledge of the sequence of service and buffet procedures, generally involving one year minimum, as a bus person. Must be customer orientated.
LICENSE / PERMIT REQUIREMENTS:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to stand and be upwardly mobile for periods of up to four hours in length. Must have good sense of balance, be able to bend and kneel and have the ability to lift bus pans and trays frequently weighing up to 25 pounds. The following activities are normally required to perform these functions: stand, walk, bend, reach, read, write, eye to hand coordination, depth perception, effective verbal communication, strong math skills, excellent organizational skills.
