What are the responsibilities and job description for the Den/blu - Bus Person position at Treasure Bay LLC?
REPORTS TO: Den Supervisor
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Bussers/Food Runners require a neat appearance, ability to be professional with the guests when delivering food to their table.
- Bussers/ Food Runners are to help out the servers and bartenders.
- Bussers/Food Runners serve water, bread, butter, and the amuse to each guest seated in the restaurant.
- Bussers pre-bus and clean tables, taking plates, silverware, and beverage glasses to the dish room to be cleaned as needed.
- Bussers keep water glasses full as well as cleaning and setting tables for the next service.
- Often bussers also participate in the serving of food (as a Food Runner) so they must have knowledge of all table and seat numbers.
- Bussers/Food Runners should always be attentive to the needs of the guest, and communicate these needs to the server.
- Bussers/Food Runners also need to have knowledge of the menu so they may assist the guest with any questions they may have about the product we offer.
- Being a team player is essential, working together with servers, cooks and bartenders to ensure that each guest has a great experience.
- Must be able to carry trays weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Overall duties as assigned in a fast paced environment.
EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
High school graduate or GED equivalent. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary languages of the work location. Knowledge of the sequence of service and buffet procedures, generally involving one year minimum, as a bus person. Must be customer orientated.
