Responsibilities

• Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including curriculum development focused on literacy, math, social-emotional skills, and physical activity
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that supports preschool-aged children’s developmental needs
• Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong home-school connections
• Conduct child development instruction tailored to individual needs, including special education considerations and early intervention strategies
• Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, assessments, and progress reports in compliance with mandated reporting laws
• Lead engaging activities that promote physical education, creativity, and social skills while encouraging curiosity and independence

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of childcare experience working with young children in a classroom or daycare setting
• Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
• Experience with classroom management, lesson planning, and curriculum development in preschool or daycare environments
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and administrators
• Familiarity with special education techniques, early intervention programs, and standardized testing is preferred
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required or must be obtained within 90 days employment
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a lively and positive attitude
