Responsibilities
- Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including curriculum development focused on literacy, math, social-emotional skills, and physical activity
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that supports preschool-aged children’s developmental needs
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong home-school connections
- Conduct child development instruction tailored to individual needs, including special education considerations and early intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, assessments, and progress reports in compliance with mandated reporting laws
- Lead engaging activities that promote physical education, creativity, and social skills while encouraging curiosity and independence
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of childcare experience working with young children in a classroom or daycare setting
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Experience with classroom management, lesson planning, and curriculum development in preschool or daycare environments
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and administrators
- Familiarity with special education techniques, early intervention programs, and standardized testing is preferred
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required or must be obtained within 90 days employment
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a lively and positive attitude
