Job Description
Reporting to the, VP, CIO, this is the highest role in the infrastructure and operations (I&O) function within IT, accountable for IT I&O throughout the organization. You will be responsible for the delivery of all IT infrastructure and related IT operations used to enable business capabilities and services across the enterprise.
In this role, you will bring current knowledge and future vision for transforming the I&O function including its strategy, service offerings and workforce. As a senior stakeholder, you will have relationships with externally sourced infrastructure and operations vendors. This is a “player/coach” role, which is hands on enough to do it yourself (when and if necessary), but leadership oriented where you will direct, oversee, and lead IT vendor partners with effective execution.
As a key member of the IT leadership team, this role contributes to the development and execution of the enterprise-wide IT strategy and is responsible for ensuring I&O strategy is fully aligned, positioning I&O to deliver compelling business value.
What you will be responsible for:
- Collaborate with the CIO to set the mission, vision, and strategy of the I&O organization to maximize the success of business, enterprise IT initiatives, and ongoing projects – by leading with cloud-first, scalable, MSP-driven execution.
- Hands on leader (player/coach) driving the plan working side-by-side with multiple MSPs, checking their work, maintaining accountability, assisting when and where necessary, and driving performance optimization.
- Collaborate with the V-CISO to ensure I&O security and compliance, configuring cloud applications, firewall appliances, software, user privileges, VPNs, etc. for security.
- Install, maintain and support production, DR, and networks in line with PA-DSS / PCI Standards on both private cloud public cloud infrastructure.
- Lead and provide responsive and efficient end user support (Help Desk & Service Management) for the company.
What you will bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s or master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, related field or equivalent work experience
- Five or more years of experience in IT or business/industry
- Three or more years of leadership responsibilities, including strategy, budgeting and staffing and/or vendor management.
- Demonstrated experience of influencing key stakeholders across the organization and within complex contexts.
- Preferably proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading IT transformational initiatives in complex, dynamic environments where agile was applied at scale.
