Locations: Batesville, MS OR Griffin, GA (100% On-Site)
Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 (Junior/2 years) | $110,000 - $120,000 (Senior/10 years) 10% Bonus
What You Will Be Doing:
As an Electrical Engineer within the Engineered Solutions division, you will own the design, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of customized electrical systems within generator enclosures. This role bridges the gap between pure product design and manufacturing, ensuring that power generation designs are not only technically sound but highly manufacturable.
Major Tasks & Responsibilities:
Design and specify electrical systems (480 volts or less, with some 120V interfaces) within customized generator enclosures.
Develop, review, and optimize single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
Conduct protection coordination and grounding system design.
Ensure rigorous compliance with applicable standards, including IEC, IEEE, NEC, and NFPA.
Pivot designs toward modern platforms, migrating legacy AutoCAD files into SolidWorks Electrical.
Collaborate with manufacturing and fabrication teams to improve redesigns and ensure practical assembly.
Provide technical support and clear installation instructions for generator operations.
What We Are Looking For:
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (strongly preferred).
Experience Level: Open to Junior (2 years) to Senior (10 years) candidates.
Technical Skills: Professional experience with SolidWorks Electrical and SolidWorks Simulations is highly preferred (AutoCAD experience is a plus, but the company is phasing it out).
Industry Knowledge: Experience with switchgear, electrical standards, power supply, and large weldments/fabrication is highly advantageous. PLC/logic-based controls experience is not required but translates very well to this role.
Work Style: Process-oriented, strong attention to detail, and a sense of urgency. Ability to work with highly customized products in a fast-paced environment without micromanagement.
Work Environment:
Environment: Willingness to work in a true manufacturing setting which may include extreme weather conditions, loud noises, vibrations, exposure to electrical hazards, and working on platforms over 4 feet high. Appropriate PPE is provided and required.
Travel: Up to 10%.
