Responsibilities
TRC has multiple openings for Transportation Construction Inspectors throughout West Virginia.
This position is a full-time, direct hire role with full benefits and the opportunity to advance with an established, growing company.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily site inspections for highway and/or bridge construction projects to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codes
Measure and record pay quantities
Prepare daily reports
Review the Contractor's schedule
Review and provide input on potential change order issues
Review and approve Contractor's pay estimates
Maintain project records
High School Diploma, or equivalent
Five (5) years of technical experience directly related to the highway construction industry
Valid driver's license
Basic computer skills
Ability to obtain WVTRET Certification within six (6) months of hire
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications (one or more of the following):
WVTRET Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months (Level II - IV)
WVDOH Materials Certifications in Soil & Aggregate Compaction, Portland Cement Concrete and Asphalt Field - Compaction
Associate's degree in civil engineering technology, or related technical field
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering technology, or related technical field
NICET Level II or higher certification
Previous construction inspection experience on WVDOH projects
