Responsibilities
- Prepare individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns using tax preparation software and accounting tools such as QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial software.
- Ensure all tax documents are accurate, complete, and compliant with current tax laws and regulations.
- Analyze financial data and concepts to optimize tax reporting strategies for clients across various industries.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information, explain tax positions, and answer questions related to their filings.
- Assist clients with tax planning, deductions, credits, and other strategies to maximize their benefits.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax law changes and industry best practices related to public accounting and tax compliance.
- Support marketing efforts by engaging with potential clients through outreach and client acquisition initiatives.
Experience
- Previous experience in public accounting or a related field involving accounting and finance is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in individual, partnership, and corporate tax return preparation.
- Strong understanding of tax law, compliance requirements, and financial concepts relevant to taxation.
- Proficiency with tax preparation software, accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage, and general financial analysis skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to clients.
- Basic math skills along with 10-key typing proficiency for efficient data entry.
- Experience in sales or client acquisition activities is a plus; marketing skills are beneficial for expanding client relationships.
