Position Summary
The Regional EHS Manager will oversee environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs across multiple job sites within a designated region. This role will support site-level EHS teams, provide strategic guidance, and ensure consistent implementation and continuous improvement of corporate safety policies and procedures. The Regional EHS Manager will serve as a subject matter expert, lead regional risk assessments, and act as a liaison between field operations and senior EHS leadership.
Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and support to site-level EHS Coordinators and teams.
- Implement, monitor, and enforce corporate EHS programs across all regional sites.
- Conduct regional audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and areas for improvement.
- Analyze regional EHS trends and incident data to develop proactive safety strategies.
- Develop and deliver advanced training programs for site EHS staff and project leadership.
- Promote a culture of safety through engagement, coaching, and collaboration with operations.
- Investigate major incidents, near-misses, and safety violations to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local environmental health standards.
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies and represent the company during inspections or inquiries.
- Provide detailed reporting to the EHS Manager and executive leadership on regional EHS performance.
- Assist in the development and standardization of emergency response plans across the region.
- Serve as a key resource for interpreting and implementing new EHS regulations and corporate initiatives.
- Support the onboarding and mentoring of new site-level safety professionals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in construction or industrial safety, including supervisory or regional oversight roles.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA CFR 1926 and 1910 standards.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), OSHA 500/510, or equivalent certifications preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in leading EHS programs across multiple job sites or geographic areas.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- High proficiency in preparing reports, analyzing safety metrics, and presenting to leadership.
- Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Satisfactory background check.
