Role Description
Travis Club is seeking a Golf Operations Manager, who will work under the direction of the Golf of Golf, to support the daily execution of all golf operations and ensure a high level of service for members and guests. This role helps lead an engaged team, creates memorable experiences across all golf touchpoints, and supports operational initiatives that reflect the expectations of a premier private club. This position requires strong communication skills, leadership and genuine commitment to service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversees daily golf operation including tee sheet flow, pace of play, and guest recognition.
- Supervises and trains outside service staff, practice facility attendants, and support positions.
- Ensures consistently high-quality presentation of golf carts, staging area, range setup, and bag handling.
- Manages the stocking, cleanliness, and guest readiness of comfort stations on the course to maintain an elite experience throughout the round.
- Maintains strong presence at the practice facility ensuring amenities are clean, replenished, and member focused.
- Assists in execution of tournaments, leagues, and special events including scoring, setup, and communication.
- Supports Golf Shop operations including merchandising standards, product presentation, and POS accuracy.
- Communicates with Agronomy regarding course conditions, setup, and member needs.
- Upholds all safety procedures and ensures staff compliance with operational standards and expectations.
- Resolves member issues promptly and professionally, maintaining a service-first approach.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
This is a full-time position. Ability to work extended hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on club activity.
- Previous experience in private club golf operations.
- Ability to lead and motivate service staff.
- Strong communication and guest interaction skills.
- Knowledge of golf, rules, and etiquette.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
