Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our Electric Engineering & Operations Department. This role is responsible for coordinating and supporting utility projects from initiation through completion. The Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams and manage internal and external resources to ensure successful delivery of capital investments and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead utility projects from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Support strategic planning by aligning projects with long-term utility goals.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or related field. A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in municipal or public utility environments is a plus.
