Team Communications Coordinator Summary:

We are hiring a Sports Team Communications Coordinator to join our growing customer service team in Southfield, MI. This is a great opportunity for individuals with 1-3 years of prior customer service, hospitality, event planning, or call center experience. This position entails managing multiple methods of customer service communication (emails, texts, and calls).

As a Team Communications Coordinator, individuals serve as a middleman in the flow of communication between internal departments and external stakeholders to facilitate the group hotel room block selection process. This position is responsible for maintaining the company’s brand image and delivering exceptional customer service. In this role, you will work primarily on an independent basis, but may – at times – be expected to collaborate with others internally.

General Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain the highest level of communication standards for all assigned events.
• Complete daily follow-ups utilizing internal CRM software and Outlook.
• Handle urgent correspondence and relay pertinent updates/information to internal/external stakeholders.
• Effectively problem-solve and communicate with assigned sports team representatives regarding hotel accommodation preferences.
• Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance.
• Perform all daily duties as assigned by Supervisor(s).

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred.
• 1-2 years of related experience required; 3-5 years of related experience preferred.
• Preferred industry experience includes, but is not limited to, customer service representative, call center agent, front desk agent, receptionist, booking specialist, travel agent, or similar front office position.
• Preferred educational background includes, but is not limited to, communications, business administration, hospitality and tourism management, and/or sports management.
