Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate engaging Spanish language lessons tailored to middle school students’ interests and skill levels
- Manage classroom behavior to ensure a positive, respectful learning environment using effective behavior management techniques
- Supervise children during club activities, ensuring safety and active participation at all times
- Incorporate cultural elements such as music, crafts, and storytelling to enrich language learning experiences
- Collaborate with other staff members to develop age-appropriate curriculum and activities aligned with youth development goals
- Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and program updates
- Follow all safety protocols including first aid procedures, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response plans
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or recreational settings such as camps, daycare centers, or youth programs
- Demonstrated classroom management skills in diverse environments involving early childhood education or middle school students
- Experience facilitating youth group activities or teaching foreign languages to young learners
- Background in special education or childhood development is a plus
- Proven ability to lead team-based activities and foster inclusive participation among students
- Outdoor work experience or involvement in sports coaching or theater programs that promote teamwork and engagement
Pay: $75.00 per hour
