Volunteer Community Program Coordinator (Oʻahu)

Travel Visions Aloha for the Blind is seeking a Volunteer Community Program Coordinator to support program coordination and day-to-day logistics alongside the Founder and President. This role helps keep communication, scheduling, and planning organized so our programs continue to run smoothly and consistently.

This position fits into the organization as hands-on operational support. The Coordinator works closely with leadership to support accessible community activities, volunteer coordination, and behind-the-scenes organization that allows participants to show up, move safely, and stay connected.

This role begins as a volunteer position, approximately 8 to 10 hours per week, with potential to transition into a paid part-time position in the future as funding allows.

What success in this role looks like

Programs and activities are well organized and prepared

Communication with participants and volunteers is timely and clear

Schedules, lists, and simple records are kept up to date

The Founder and President is well supported with coordination and follow-through

The work feels collaborative, steady, and reliable week to week

Responsibilities

Support scheduling and calendar coordination

Assist with email follow-up and communication

Help organize simple records, lists, and tracking documents

Support participant and volunteer coordination

Assist with preparation of materials for events, outreach, or speaking engagements

Provide general administrative support as needed

Qualifications

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Clear written and verbal communication skills

Comfort working closely with leadership in a collaborative, guided role

Reliability, discretion, and respect for confidentiality

Comfort with some in-person support in a private home office environment

Interest in community work, accessibility, or nonprofit support

Must be living on Oʻahu
