What are the responsibilities and job description for the Local Operations Coordinator position at Travel to Profit Podcast?
Travel to Profit Management is a growing short-term rental management company in Colorado Springs. We help property owners and investors manage successful short-term rentals by handling the day-to-day details that keep properties running smoothly and guests happy.
We’re looking for a Local Operations Coordinator who is highly organized, responsive, detail-oriented, and genuinely good at keeping a lot of moving pieces moving.
This is a hands-on operations role. You’ll be a key point of connection between our guests, cleaners, maintenance vendors, property owners, and founders. Some days may be relatively quiet. Other days might mean helping a guest with an issue while coordinating a plumber, checking on another property, and making sure a cleaner has what they need. We need someone who can move quickly without losing the details.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Respond to guest questions and resolve issues quickly and professionally
- Coordinate cleaners and make sure they have schedules, supplies, and property instructions
- Coordinate maintenance with handymen, plumbers, electricians, and other vendors
- Track maintenance issues, projects, costs, and completion
- Visit properties for inspections, supply deliveries, troubleshooting, and other operational needs
- Vet and maintain relationships with trusted local vendors
- Handle day-to-day property logistics such as supplies, packages, propane, locks, keypads, and cameras
- Help onboard new properties, including coordinating photography, furnishing, contractor work, and listing readiness
- Create, maintain, and follow SOPs
- Create and maintain property information and listings in Hostfully
- Track property expenses and coordinate vendor payments
- Assist with owner reporting and other operational projects
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
You’ll probably thrive in this role if you are someone who naturally sees what needs to happen and gets it done.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Responds quickly and stays calm when something is urgent
- Can manage multiple priorities and switch contexts without dropping things
- Communicates clearly, professionally, and graciously with guests, owners, and vendors
- Is self-sufficient and comfortable making decisions and solving problems
- Is comfortable with technology and learning new systems
- Has previous experience in operations, customer service, or a similar role
- Has reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance
Experience in hospitality, property management, short-term rentals, or project management is a plus.
Experience with tools such as Monday.com, Slack, Google Workspace, Hostfully, and Turno is also helpful.
SCHEDULE:
This is a full-time role working five days per week with two consecutive weekdays off.
Because weekends are some of our busiest days, weekend availability is required. The position also requires some evening on-call responsiveness for time-sensitive guest or property issues. Outside of those needs, there is flexibility in how the workday is structured.
COMPENSATION & GROWTH
*Starting compensation: $5,000/month as a contractor.
Our goal is to find someone who can grow with Travel to Profit. As the company expands, there is an opportunity for increased leadership responsibility and the potential to transition into a W-2 position with additional benefits.
- If you enjoy operations, hospitality, solving problems, working with people, and being the person others can count on to keep things moving, we’d love to hear from you.
Salary : $5,000
