Role Overview
Travel Curator is hiring a Senior Sales Manager, North America to drive revenue growth across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, with a strong focus on luxury hotels, airlines, domestic tourism boards (DMOs, CVBs, state and regional boards) and cruise partners.
This is a hands-on, senior sales role responsible for sourcing, pitching, and closing integrated partnerships aligned with Travel Curator’s editorial authority and affluent audience. The role reports into senior leadership and is ideal for a seasoned seller who thrives on relationships, performance, and closing meaningful deals. There is a revenue target and sizable financial incentives for meeting and exceeding goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and grow a North American sales pipeline, with emphasis on domestic tourism boards and hotel partners
- Prospect, pitch, and close integrated marketing partnerships across editorial, newsletter, digital, social, and custom programs
- Manage the full sales cycle: outreach, pitch development, negotiation, close, and renewal
- Maintain strong relationships with DMOs, CVBs, tourism boards, hotel groups, and destination partners
- Collaborate with editorial and leadership to ensure sold programs align with brand standards and audience expectations
- Consistently work toward and exceed an annual revenue goal
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline reporting, and account notes
- Represent Travel Curator at industry events and partner meetings as needed
Compensation & Performance
- This role carries a defined annual sales target
- Compensation includes base salary plus commission, with commission tied directly to closed revenue. Salary range: $80,000-$100,000 with total compensation including incentives up to $225,000.
- Strong performance is rewarded with upside and long-term growth opportunities
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 5–8 years of experience in media sales, travel marketing, tourism board sales, or hospitality partnerships
- Proven ability to close mid- to high-five-figure and six-figure deals
- Existing relationships within the tourism board and hospitality ecosystem
- Confident, consultative seller who understands how to sell storytelling and audience influence
- Self-directed, organized, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
- Professional presence and communication style aligned with a premium brand
